"Abu Dhabi Arabic Language" The book of international photographer Karim Sahib is published "Eye hunting the moment"

Abu Dhabi, May 8 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, as part of the “Editions” project and the series “Pioneers between us”, launched the book “Ain Tasbad the moment”, for the Iraqi international photographer Karim Sahib.

During the signing ceremony of the book, which included 400 photos published by the major media, and documented in the archive of the “United Nations”, the owner said: “For the first time, my photos are accompanied by written explanations in the Arabic language, after it was published with English, French and Spanish explanations … as if she returned to her mother’s bosom.”

The cover of the book includes a picture taken after a whole week of monitoring and anticipation, which was spent by the owner, in the Liwa Desert in the UAE, until the ideal moment of light was arrested, documenting the beauty of the breathtaking natural environment in the desert of the Empty Quarter, and giving the world a timeless shot that has become a registered sign of the Emirates.

The visual narration of the book extends between 2005 and 2025, and includes scenes of sniping, festivals, buildings, and sporting events, but it is not satisfied with documentation.

Karim Sahib stressed, “The image is not just a frame, but a silent text that has meaning.” Stressing that documenting moments of weakness, especially in wars, is an ethical responsibility that cannot be tolerated.

The owner, who was nicknamed in Iraq with “award hunter”, believes that the image must be beautiful and purposeful at the same time, carrying an issue, and sheds light on the meaning, whether these details are in a crowded street or in barren sand dunes.

On his academic background, he said, “I studied art at the Italian Academy of Rome, then at the French University of Sorbonne, and learned how to carry the picture a message that the Chinese, the American, and the Japanese, without translation.”

Sahib revealed, a new project titled “The constant above the moving sand”, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, did not disclose its components, in addition to referring to five other projects under implementation, as he believes that the image is able to reveal what the words do not say, and that the visual narration is the mirror of man, space, and time.
