Dubai Roads opens all stages of the project to develop the Shindagha axis from Bur Dubai

Dubai, May 11 / WAM / The Roads and Communications Authority in Dubai opened the fifth and final bridge within the project of developing the intersection of Sheikh Rashid Street with Al -Mina Street, so that it has finished the stages of developing the Shindha axis in the Bur Dubai region, and that traffic has become a smooth flow without stopping from the Garhud Bridge towards the port of Rashid, until the Infiniti Bridge to the marine market market, and vice versa.
The completed stages contributed to reducing the flight time from 80 minutes to 12 minutes, and traffic has become smooth without stopping from Jumeirah Street towards the Infiniti Bridge, with a time of a 5 -minute trip, as well as the movement from the Infiniti Bridge towards Al -Mina Street to Al -Wasl Street at its intersection with the second street of December, with a time of a 5 -minute trip.
The authority is currently implementing the Gulf Street tunnel project, which runs from the end of the (Infiniti) bridge in Deira, until the intersection of Gulf Street with Cairo Street, with a length of 1650 meters, and with a capacity of three tracks in each direction, and recently began implementing entrances and exits for the Dubai Islands in the area between the Infiniti Bridge and the area of the Port Development project.
His Excellency Matar Al -Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Communications Authority, stressed that the project to develop the Shindagha axis is one of the largest projects implemented by the authority, and it extends along Sheikh Rashid Street, Al -Mina Street, Gulf Street and Cairo Street with a length of 13 km, and includes the development of 15 intersections, including the implementation of bridges and tunnels with a length of 18 km.
He said that the axis serves the Deira and Bardbi regions, in addition to a number of development projects such as the Dubai Islands, the Deira Naval interface, Dubai navigational city, and the port of Rashid, and that the population of the project is estimated at a million people, pointing out that it contributes to providing free traffic movements along the Shindha axis, raising the capacity from 6400 vehicles per hour, to 24,000 vehicles per hour, and reducing the flight time From 104 minutes to 16 minutes by 2030 AD, and raising the level of traffic safety, while the value of the savings is estimated to reduce the flight time by 45 billion dirhams over a period of 20 years.
