Jordan squad in preparation for the last two rounds of the World Cup qualifiers

The technical staff of the Jordan team, led by Moroccan coach Jamal Salami, summoned an expanded squad of 34 players for two internal and external camps, in preparation for the confrontations of Oman and Iraq in the last two rounds of the third decisive round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 Football Cup.
Technical and physical preparations start on Saturday evening in Amman with the participation of local players and some professionals abroad, with the possibility of some of the players under 23 years, with the professional enrollment in the Al -Nishami camp in Dammam Saudi Arabia and Muscat.
It is expected that the team will leave to Dammam on the current 24 after reducing the expanded list, as it is scheduled to face its Saudi counterpart in a friendly training match in 30 of it that will be held behind closed doors.
Jordan is preparing to confront its Omani counterpart on the fifth of June at the Qaboos International Complex Stadium, before hosting its Iraqi counterpart on the tenth of it at the Amman International Stadium in the last two rounds of the third round of the Asian qualifiers.
Jordan is second in the second group with 13 points, three points behind the leading South Korea, then Iraq comes third with 12 points against Oman (10 points), Palestine (6) and Kuwait (5).
The first two teams in each of the three groups qualify directly to the World Cup, while the two remaining direct seats of Asia are determined by the fourth round in a continental supplement.
There will be an opportunity for an additional seat after a fifth round and a watershed to the winner of an international attachment.
