Boxing champion Anthony Joshua chooses to settle in Dubai

British boxing champion Anthony Joshua (36 years old) resolved the controversy over his personal future, with his decision to move to live permanently in the Emirate of Dubai in the UAE, ending long years of residence in the United Kingdom.
According to what was published by international newspapers such as the Daily Mail and The Mirror, the official confirmation came through Joshua’s corporate records on March 7, 2026, as the boxer updated his official data, listing the United Arab Emirates as his permanent place of residence instead of Britain.
Reports indicated that the “tax system” was one of the most prominent incentives for this move, as Joshua paid heavy taxes in Britain amounting to about 11 million pounds sterling last year alone, while living in the Emirate of Dubai gives him the advantage of being exempt from income tax on his global profits.
On the humanitarian level, those close to the British hero confirmed that the move represents a “new beginning” to escape painful memories, after he lost two of his close friends in a tragic traffic accident in Nigeria in late 2025, which made him search for a stable and safe environment for training and living.
