“You are admired by the world,” US President Donald Trump told Gulf leaders in his speech at the Gulf Gulf Summit that concluded in Riyadh today, Wednesday.

The US President said that the Middle East could be prosperous in peace, noting that the Gulf states are at the forefront of the stable and prosperous countries.

On Syria, he explained that he “ordered the lifting of sanctions after consultations with Prince Muhammad bin Salman.” He continued, “Lifting the sanctions will give them a great opportunity,” noting that he will cancel the full sanctions on Syria.

He also pointed out that Washington is seeking to normalize relations with the new Syrian government.

As for the Iranian file, Trump said, “I want to conclude an agreement with Tehran, but she must stop supporting terrorism.” He stressed that “Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon.”

He also said, “Iran must stop its proxy wars support in the region.”

On Lebanon, he said, “There is an opportunity for a future free from the grip of Hezbollah in Lebanon,” adding, “The Lebanese President can build a state away from Hezbollah.”

He also added that “Lebanon has a new opportunity with the president and the new Prime Minister.”
