Urgent.. The House of Representatives holds its plenary session to discuss the draft criminal procedure law
The House of Representatives decided to hold its plenary session tomorrow, Thursday, October 16, 2025, and the agenda of the plenary session of the Council included discussing the report of the Special Committee formed to re-examine the articles objected to by the President of the Republic on the draft Code of Criminal Procedure.
The meeting of the Special Committee formed to re-examine the articles objected to by the President of the Republic on the draft Code of Criminal Procedure had ended a few days ago, headed by Counselor Ahmed Saad El-Din, First Undersecretary of the Council. In the presence of the Counselor, the Minister of Justice, the Counselor, the Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication, the Legal Advisor to the President of the Council, and representatives of the Ministries of Interior and Communications, the Public Prosecution, the Supreme Judicial Council, the National Council for Human Rights, and the Faculty of Law, Cairo University.
Where the Special Committee ended in approving all the articles objected to by the President of the Republic in accordance with the formulations that Proposed by the Ministers of Justice, Parliamentary and Legal Affairs, and Political Communication.
