المملكة: Jeddah .. The Arab Reading Challenge challenges with the participation of 1.8 million students
The qualifiers witnessed the participation of more than 1.8 million students from various regions of the Kingdom, belonging to 19,550 schools, and under the supervision of 24,989 supervisors and supervisors, competing over several stages to reach the finals, in one of the largest educational and cultural events in the Arab world.

The ceremony started with a speech delivered by Laila Akhzimi, Assistant Director of the Projects of the Initiatives of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International, in which she expressed her happiness with the great interaction of students, stressing that this course reflected their passion in the Arabic language and their keenness to enhance the culture of reading, praising the role of the Ministry of Education and Jeddah Education in Organizing and hosting, stressing the continued support of the institution for the initiative in its upcoming sessions.
The Director General of Jeddah Education, Manal Al -Lahibi, stressed that the qualifiers are the culmination of a distinct reading and knowledge march, which showed the extent of the students’ creativity and their ability to express in a solid Arabic language, adding that supporting such initiatives contributes to building a reader and creative generation that cherishes its language and participates in the national development process, and thanked all the participants, parents and supporters.

The ceremony included an operetta entitled “50 Bouh” presented by male and female students from Jeddah education schools, in which the participants embodied the spirit of challenge and creativity.
The final results of the competition
At the end of the ceremony, the final results of the competition were announced, where the student Idris Ali Al -Yami qualified from the education of Najran about the category of “distinguished student”, and the student Rafif Mohamed Al -Sinani from the education of Medina about the category of “people with disabilities”, while Ibn Khaldun’s primary school from Riyadh’s education won the “Distinguished School” award, and Maha Saeed Al -Thebaiti won the education of Taif with the “Distinguished Supervisor” award.

It is noteworthy that the final qualifiers that lasted for five days witnessed the participation of 31 male and female students from public education and people with disabilities, along with five supervisors and five distinguished schools, and aimed to enhance the culture of reading, developing the skills of critical and creative thinking and self -learning among students at various educational levels.
