Launching a national program for intellectual immunity…the most prominent recommendations of the Ramadan Council of the National Drug Control Agency

ABU DHABI, 27th February, 2017 (WAM) – Participants in the Fourth Ramadan Council of the National Anti-Narcotics Agency recommended launching a national program for intellectual and societal immunity, to address the dangers of moral disintegration of the family and the spread of drugs, in addition to forming specialized committees and work teams to support community prevention.

They called for developing a family mechanism to reduce electronic addiction, organize daily routines, and reduce dependence on domestic workers in educational aspects, while including awareness programs for the conscious use of means of communication and artificial intelligence applications, and promoting religious education based on a correct understanding of the concepts of halal and haram.

These recommendations came at the conclusion of the council, which was organized in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, President of the Agency, under the slogan “A Conscious Family… A Safe Homeland,” as part of the Authority’s efforts to consolidate the role of the family as a major partner in prevention.

The Council discussed the topic of “The System of Values ​​and Legislation in Protecting Children,” hosting His Excellency Dr. Obaid Al-Hiri Al-Ketbi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and moderated by media figure Mohammed Aida Al-Jabri, with the participation of Counselor Saeed Al-Ahbabi, Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Federal Narcotics Prosecution, and Dr. Lamia Al-Zaabi from the National Drug Control Agency.

During the session, the participants stressed the importance of consolidating the concept of the “conscious family,” conscious inclusion of children through open dialogue, and activating the role of parental role models to transform values ​​from words to deeds.

The Council also reviewed the legislative dimensions of protecting children in light of Federal Decree Law No. (30) of 2021, stressing the importance of early intervention and requesting support through safe channels, the most prominent of which is the “Muqadif” service via the toll-free number (80044) to ensure rapid response.
