The Kremlin announces the assortment of his delegation for Istanbul talks .. What is Putin’s position?

The name of President Vladimir Putin was absent from the Russian delegation, which will go to Istanbul today, Thursday, to hold peace talks with Ukraine, according to the list published by the Kremlin on Wednesday night.
Moscow’s delegation will be led by Presidential Adviser Vladimir Midinsey, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galozin, and Deputy Minister of Defense Alexander Fumin.
Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski had invited Putin to attend personally to Istanbul, after the Russian president suggested direct negotiations between Moscow and Kiev to reach a settlement of the war that has been going on for more than 3 years.

Ukraine is ready to negotiate

Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski said on Wednesday that he is ready for any form to negotiate to end the war with Russia, noting that he will decide for the steps he will take after it is clear from the Moscow in the talks scheduled in Istanbul.
He added in his daily speech on Wednesday evening: “I wait to see who will attend from Russia, after that, I will decide the steps that Ukraine will take, we are ready for any form of negotiation, and we are not afraid of meetings.”

Zelinski calls Putin personally

Ukrainian official told AFP that Kyiv had not received a response about Putin’s participation.
He said: “On Sunday, President Zellinski made an offer to hold the meeting on Thursday, and until Wednesday afternoon, we have not yet received any response by Putin.”
Zelinski called Putin to participate in person in this meeting, after the Russian president had proposed direct negotiations between Moscow and Kiev in Turkey, with the aim of launching a diplomatic operation to find a settlement more than 3 years after the start of the Russian attack in Ukraine.
