The UAE is implementing urgent medical evacuation to 188 patients and their companions from Gaza
Abu Dhabi, May 14/ WAM/ in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to provide treatment and health care to 1,000 Palestinian children from the wounded and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip in state hospitals. The UAE, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, has implemented a new evacuation trip coming from Ramon Airport in Israel and through the Karam Abu Salem crossing, which included 101 patients with 87 individuals of their families, bringing the total number to this day to 2,634 patients and facilities, which reflects the UAE’s keenness to provide the necessary therapeutic care for Palestinian brothers in state hospitals.
His Excellency Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organizations, Vice President of the Emirates International Aid Agency, said: “The initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State“ may God protect him ”, is part of the historical support of the UAE for the brotherly Palestinian people and its standing with the residents of Gaza in the current crisis, where Emirati humanitarian initiatives contribute to mitigating the disastrous effects faced by the residents of the sector, especially the categories of children and women and adults Age.
His Excellency added: “At this critical time, the UAE will spare no effort in extending a helping hand to the Palestinian brothers and providing initiatives to their relief, whether by land, sea or air, and will continue in the relentless work – and to play a leadership and leadership role – with the United Nations and international partners to double the efforts necessary to support the efforts made to alleviate the human suffering in Gaza, and ensure the flow of aid immediately and safely and without Holding, wide and sustainable across all possible ways. “
His Excellency pointed out that the UAE topped the list of countries most supportive for the residents of the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the crisis in October 2023, with a rate of more than 40 % of the total aid provided.
His Excellency stressed that the efforts of the UAE in the continuous medical evacuation operations reflect its keenness to provide advanced health care for the Palestinian injured, and to contribute to providing humanitarian support during these critical conditions, noting that the UAE will spare no effort in its humanitarian support for the people of Gaza during these difficult times, and will continue its humanitarian and relief efforts and evacuate the injured and patients, which reflects its deep commitment to save lives.
His Excellency added: “Since the outbreak of the crisis, the UAE has made unremitting efforts to provide advanced health care to the injured and Palestinian patients by the UAE Field Hospital in southern Gaza and the floating hospital off the coast of the Egyptian city of Al -Arish, and since the beginning of the crisis the UAE has provided a wide relief response to the Palestinian brothers to support them in the critical conditions they are going through, where it provided more than 65,000 tons of supplies Relief, nutritional and medical.
