The Ministry of Sports launches "Sportfai" To enhance digital transformation
Abu Dhabi, May 15 / WAM / The Ministry of Sports today launched the “Sportfai” platform, the first smart national framework for digital transformation in the sports sector aimed at supporting sports governance efforts, enhancing integration between federations, councils and clubs, and developing a talent discovery system and sports performance analysis, in line with the targets of the National Sports Strategy 2031.
The platform was launched during the workshop “Digital Transformation Command in the Sports Sector”, in the presence of a number of heads of sports federations, technicians and administrators.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Balhal Al -Falasi, Minister of Sports, stressed that “Sportfai” represents a qualitative shift in the Emirati sports scene, by providing a smart environment based on artificial intelligence techniques and data analysis, to consolidate smart governance and simplify procedures, improve performance efficiency, and enable athletes and unions to make decisions based on data.
His Excellency Ghanem Mubarak Al -Hajri, Undersecretary of the Ministry, said that the platform represents a technical partner for federations and clubs, through an integrated digital infrastructure that allows the management of athletes, discovering talents and facilitating performance evaluation, stressing that the next stage will witness the training of national cadres on digital analysis tools and data governance.
His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Assistant Undersecretary for the Sector of Development and Sports Competitiveness, explained that “Sportfai” will enhance the capabilities of federations to make accurate decisions, and contribute to discovering and sponsoring talents, and alleviating administrative burdens, in order to support the sustainability of sports excellence.
The workshop witnessed two sessions of the heads of federations and technicians, during which the platform characteristics and future work mechanisms were reviewed, stressing the importance of the active partnership between the various parties to ensure the success of digital transformation initiatives.
