British police leaders praising the global police summit in Dubai

Dubai, May 15 / WAM / British police leaders confirmed that the global police summit in Dubai is a pivotal opportunity to enhance international cooperation, and a platform to understand the challenges related to aviation security worldwide.
On the sidelines of the summit, which concludes its work today at the Dubai World Trade Center, Simon Dubenson said in a statement to the Emirates Police Agency, “WAM”, on the sidelines of the summit that concludes its work today at the Dubai World Trade Center, that his participation included the representation of the British police in aviation security and airport security cases, and to contribute to a discussion session that dealt with ways of international cooperation to enhance the security of atmosphere for travelers and industry.
He added that the session witnessed constructive discussions on the most increasing challenges in the field of aviation security, including the development of technology, the continued threat of terrorism, and the complexity of cross -border crimes, stressing the importance of the summit as a platform for exchanging views and developing integrated security strategies.
He pointed out that the diversity of participants from various cultures and international security institutions gave the summit a “excellent” discussion environment, which contributed to enhancing the understanding of varying security contexts and stimulating international coordination.
For his part, Mark Clother, Head of Operations, Intelligence and National Investigations of the UK Road Police (NRPOII), praised the role of the global police summit in gathering leaders and security experts under one umbrella to face contemporary security challenges.
He said that the British government intends to launch a new national road safety strategy aimed at reducing accidents and improving safety levels by strengthening institutional partnerships.
He pointed out that the United Kingdom includes 43 police force, which makes the application of any complex important national strategy, noting that there are ongoing discussions on adopting a unified or regional model to overcome the challenges related to the varying resources and priorities between the various forces.
He explained that the current strategy of the National Council of Police Commanders, led by the head of the Sussex Police, is based on four main axes: protecting lives, disrupting criminal activities, innovation, and changing behaviors, stressing the need to unify efforts to achieve sustainable results.
He pointed to the establishment of a professional network that includes the heads of road police in various regions, which meets regularly to exchange best practices, as well as coordination meetings with strategic bodies such as the Drivers, Vehicles and National Roads Agency, and representatives of the private sector.
“The implementation of a unified strategy in light of the multiplicity of police forces remains a complex challenge, but we are working to achieve it through cooperation, partnership, and exchanging experiences.”
