Abu Dhabi, May 17 / WAM / A number of the most prominent international stars and champions of the global jujitsu confirmed that the “Abu Dhabi Grand Salam” championship for Jujitsu is one of the strongest and most difficult championships in the world, because of its high competitive level, and a wide participation of the elite of the best players of the game from different continents, which makes it a global sports platform that reflects the development of Jujitsu and the leadership of the UAE in establishing it as a national sport.
“Mubadala Arena” in Zayed Sports City will host the championship competitions, which will continue until next Sunday, with the participation of more than 2,500 players representing 66 countries from around the world, in an exceptional version that witnesses strong competition for the first positions in various weights.
In statements to them, the players expressed their pride in participating in this championship, praising its professional organization and high technical level, stressing that attending to Abu Dhabi requires mental and physical preparations for the course of the great challenges imposed by the tournament.
“It is very proud to participate in Abu Dhabi Grand Salam, this tournament is always the strongest and most important throughout the season. Competition is very difficult, and the experience here is distinctive by all accounts. I am now looking to participate in the World Professional Championships in Abu Dhabi next November,” said player Sufyan Mibani, who is crowned with the gold medal in the weight of 77 kg.
For his part, Hossam Al -Maddani, who was crowned with a bronze weight of 120 kg, stressed that his fight in the tournament was decisive and difficult from the beginning until the moment of coronation, and said: “The medal was extracted in the last seconds after fierce competitions. Whenever I attended to Abu Dhabi, I aspire to crown, and this tournament represents my best preparation for the upcoming competitions in Qatar and Europe.”
As for the Brazilian Adrian of the Kumano Group team, he stressed that “Abu Dhabi Grand Salam is the most difficult throughout the season, and participation in it requires the highest levels of physical and mental readiness, and this makes Abu Dhabi a favorite destination for everyone who seeks excellence.” He added: “I thank those in charge of organizing this world championship, as it represents a milestone in the world of Jujitsu, and reflects the great support that the UAE provides to the game and its players from around the world.”
The Brazilian player, Italo of the Mud team, also expressed his happiness with the participation, saying: “I fought five strong fights and managed to extract third place. The organization is amazing, and the large public attendance gave a distinctive atmosphere to the competitions. This tournament is one of the most prestigious events in the world of Jujitsu.”
His teammate, Felipe Bizira, confirmed his pride in crowning the title of Abu Dhabi Grand Salam, and said: “I am very happy with the season that I offer so far, and I feel very comfortable every time I fight on the Abu Dhabi Battle. This big tournament always provides us with real opportunities to achieve completion.”
