Egypt welcomes direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine

The Arab Republic of Egypt welcomes the direct negotiations held between the Russian Federation and Ukraine in Istanbul, whose first session ended on Friday, May 16, 2025.

& nbsp; To restore calm, security and stability of the European continent, and calls on the two parties to take more steps to build confidence, in a way that contributes to reaching a ceasefire and achieving a political settlement between Russia and Ukraine, leading to ending the long -term conflict.

& nbsp; It is based on the necessity of settling conflicts by peaceful means, prevailing the language of dialogue, and reaching a solution that takes into account the concerns of all parties, in order to ensure international stability and security.
