Abu Dhabi, May 21/ WAM/ Blue Golf Group, the Emirati Family Company, which was established in 2017, specialized in the manufacture and maintenance of boats and ships, reviewed at the industrial professions exhibition within the activities of “Made in the Emirates 2025”, its latest projects in the field of boat manufacturing, as well as integrating artificial intelligence techniques within production lines.

Dana Al Qubaisi, a spokeswoman for the company, said that “Blue Golf Group” is currently working on a new project that focuses on the use of artificial intelligence technologies to operate boats, by developing the “USV” project, which allows remote boats control.

She added in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, “WAM”, that the company currently provides “Katamran” boats of different sizes that include 17 feet, 23 feet and 43 feet, and is currently working on developing new measurements, noting that boats are manufactured using very light materials such as carbon fiber and Viber Glass, with the aim of reaching high speeds.

She emphasized that the company’s participation in the “Made in the Emirates” event came to display locally manufactured boats, in addition to providing ship maintenance services within the marine basin (Al -Shabiad), which has been completed so far more than 500 projects.

For his part, Mohamed Salem Al -Murr, Director of Field Operations at the group “Blokat” company, said that the “23 carbon” boat is characterized by high speeds, and its fuel capacity is 200 kg, noting that the boat cuts up to 450 miles at a speed of 100 miles per hour, and the range rises to 860 miles in the event of a speed of 60 miles per hour, explaining that the boat is intended for high speeds and long distances.

He stated that the “Al -Katamran” boats that the company manufactured are also distinguished by its internal capacity, and at the speed side, the company is currently ranked first at the Gulf and Middle East level within the category of Katamran.

He indicated that the boat measuring 30 feet reached a speed of 100 miles per hour, while the boat measured 23 feet is 120 miles per hour, which are numbers that they described as standard and have not been achieved by any other party yet.

Regarding artificial intelligence, he said that the company developed an unintended boat “Unmanned” and a trial version of it was tested, as he managed to pass speed tests and carry weights in difficult weather conditions that included waves and winds, indicating that there is interest from customers with this technology, and they are currently being communicated with smart boats.

Al -Murar stressed that the company is currently working to expand its partnerships, as there is actual cooperation with ADNOC, along with other partners, expecting that the coming period will witness more development in this sector.
