Dubai Police inaugurates a smart robot and enhances its international partnerships to protect children

The Dubai Police General Command inaugurated the Caliber Mini-Flex, and signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Association to prevent child abuse and neglect (ISPCAN), as part of its commitment to promoting field security and protecting the rights of children.

Major General Abdullah Ali Al -Ghaithi, Assistant Commander -in -Chief for Operations Affairs in Dubai Police, said that the inauguration of the robot embodies the strategic orientation of Dubai Police in enhancing its field readiness using the latest smart equipment, which contributes to supporting security tasks, especially in complex and dangerous environments.

He pointed out that cooperation with specialized international companies establishes the Dubai Police methodology in adopting the best security practices, in a way that keeps pace with the aspirations of the General Command in consolidating security and effective response to field challenges.

The “Caliber Mini Flex” robot is a qualitative addition to the tactical operations system, as it is characterized by its light weight of 36.7 kg, and its ability to carry bodies up to 11 kg, and climb the stairs at an angle of up to 45 degrees, and it includes an advanced photography system with high -resolution cameras, and a dual LED lighting for vision in different circumstances, along with a touched control unit 10.1 inches, manual control system or Logitech game arm.

The robot also contains a non -condemnation water launch system and a built -in camera in the weapon, with support for direct broadcasting, an advanced warning system and a three -dimensional display facade that allows for accurate field decisions.

On the other hand, Dubai Police signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Association to prevent child abuse and neglect (ISPCAN), with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the areas of awareness, training and scientific research to protect children from violence and neglect.

The memorandum was signed by Dubai Police, Major General Dr. Abdul Quddus Abdul -Razzaq Al -Obaidli, Assistant Commander in Chief for Excellence and Entrepreneurship, and by the association, Praghani Tomala, Executive Director of the Association, in the presence of a number of officers and specialists from both sides.

Major General Al -Obaidli stressed that this partnership is consistent with the vision of the UAE and its national strategy in protecting the child, and reflects the commitment of the Dubai Police to its societal and preventive role.

He added that the agreement represents a qualitative step towards consolidating a fierce environment for children based on international knowledge and partnerships, pointing to the importance of developing prevention and early intervention systems to ensure a safe future for children.

For its part, Praghani Tomala stressed that the association will use its experiences to support institutional efforts in building effective national capabilities in the field of child protection, according to international best practices.
