"Make in the Emirates" An agreement to build 6 virtues is witnessing a value of 120 million dirhams

Abu Dhabi, May 21/ WAM/ Liwa for the construction of ships specialized in the field of future marine industries, which is based in Abu Dhabi, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Khaled Faraj Maritime Shipping Company (KFS), one of the companies that owns and operates ships in the UAE private sector, to build 6 large -sized ships with a total value of 120 million dirhams.
The agreement was signed by Mohamed Faraj Al -Muhairbi, Executive Director of Liwa Shipbuilding Company and Engineer Ghanem Khaled Al -Muhairbi, Managing Director of Khaled Faraj Maritime Shipping Company, during the activities of the third day of “Made in the Emirates 2025”, in a move that enhances the UAE’s position as a pioneering center for the regionally and internationally developed maritime transport industry.
“This agreement reflects the confidence of our partners in our ability to implement various naval projects within the specified timetable, and we are working with a high concentration to integrate innovation and sustainability in every ship, which supports the UAE vision to become a global center for the blue economy.”
Al -Muhairbi stressed that Liwa Shipbuilding Company is committed to applying international best practices in manufacturing operations, while ensuring complete compliance with security, safety, environment and operation standards in accordance with the highest recognized international standards, in line with the requirements of Khaled Faraj Maritime Shipping Company whose fleet reaches more than 90 varied ships.
In turn, Ghanem Khaled Al -Muhairbi said: “The choice of the Liwa Shipbuilding Company came because of its excellence in providing innovative naval industrial, as these ships will enhance our current fleet and support our expansion in regional and international markets, especially in major logistical projects.”
The agreement signed from Liwa’s position as a major player in the Emirati ship industry, and its ability to implement huge international quality projects, will enhance the agreement for Khaled Faraj Maritime Shipping Company to expand its marine services and meet the increasing demand for integrated maritime transport solutions.
The agreement signed between the two parties is a tributary and support for the national economy by employing Emirati cadres and cooperation with local suppliers, in line with the goals of the platform “Made in the Emirates 2025”.
