From the 16th century .. new archaeological discoveries in the area of Manqabad in southern Egypt

The Egyptian mission operating in the Manqabad area in the Antiquities of the Governorate of the Governorate Assiut South Egypt , on A new archaeological discoveries represented in a building of mud brick dating back to the period between the sixth and seventh centuries AD. Muhammad Ismail Khaled, in a statement, that the discovered building is coated with a layer of white mortar and consists of two levels inside them found a number of important murals, among them are a mural with important symbolism in Coptic art, the subject of which is frequent eyes and in the middle of it. The building is of 3 parallel halls, followed by two rooms, with a descending ladder that leads to a lower level with 3 parallel fryers, followed by two rooms for living, with many archaeological metrics of pottery and stones. /> The mission continues its work to reveal more secrets of this building and its importance in that time period.
