"Water solution energy" She reviews her experience at the Facilities Conference 2025

Abu Dhabi, May 27 / WAM / Eng. Ahmed Al Shamsi, CEO of TATA, confirmed that the company has succeeded in expanding the use of treated water to reach more than 80%, which is the highest percentage in the Middle East region, adding that this achievement is achieved thanks to the directives of the rational leadership and higher management in “energy”, which puts its eyes to reach 100% in the re -use of water resulting from sewage operations.

He indicated in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, during the World Facilities Conference 2025, that this water is currently being used in the irrigation of green surfaces at the emirate level, noting the launch of a pioneering initiative last year for the use of treated water in the irrigation of farms on the Abu Dhabi and Al Ain road, where about 1500 farms were covered, which contributed to reducing dependence on groundwater, replacing it with recycled water, and achieving a percentage Reza among farmers exceeded 98%.

He added that the “Taqah” company aspires to continue this pioneering approach in launching green initiatives, whether at the emirate level or the state, and even seeks to generalize this experience and transfer it outside the UAE borders.

He stressed that the company’s participation in the World Facilities Conference 2025 is a basic participation, based on being the main provider of water and energy solutions in the emirate, and he said that the company invests and runs this vital sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and it mainly seeks to address the challenges by providing highly efficient water treatment services that meet the aspirations of the public.

He referred to the dialogue session held by the company on the sidelines of the conference, and dealt with the issue of water scarcity and the associated environmental challenges, explaining that the desert environment in the state, and the accompanying lack of rains, the depletion of groundwater, and a rise in soil salinity, all contribute to the exacerbation of the food security crisis.

He stressed that among the solutions that the company is working to achieve in high rates; Reuse treated water, using advanced and safe technologies that are in line with environmental standards, the requirements of the Food Authority, as well as the requirements of the agricultural sector, indicating that the company has already reached 80% in reuse, and aspires to reach 100%.
