54 thousand participants in the 4th version of the Global Police Summit

Dubai on June 1/ WAM/ The fourth edition of the global police summit, which was organized by Dubai Police in partnership with “DXB Life”, witnessed the arm of providing organizing and managing integrated events in the Dubai World Trade Center under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him International in the world, which strengthened Dubai’s position as a global destination for dialogue in the field of security.
The summit welcomed 53,922 participants from more than 110 countries, an increase of more than 300% in the number of participants compared to the previous version, including 6 internal ministers, 4 ministers, 45 police chiefs, 41 police chief deputies, 692 ambassadors, consuls and high -ranking diplomats, making it one of the largest global events in the field of law enforcement.
The global police summit, which was held at the Dubai World Trade Center recently, hosted 140 specialized dialogue sessions with the participation of 302 international speakers.
The sessions dealt with the most prominent security issues within 12 axes: fighting money laundering, digital transformation, cross -border police cooperation, police operations, drug control, aviation security, cybersecurity and digital fraud, the use of artificial intelligence in police work, organized crime combat, community police, traffic safety, qualification and training of young officers.
The summit witnessed the signing of 38 memoranda of understanding between the security authorities and technical and academic institutions with the aim of enhancing cooperation and security integration.
On this occasion, Lt. Col. Rashid Hamdan Al -Ghafari, Secretary -General of the World Police Summit, said that the results of the summit exceeded all expectations in terms of participation, the level of attendance and the depth of discussions and its global and regional impact, and this success confirms our commitment to making Dubai a center for international police cooperation, and a platform for knowledge exchange and innovation in the security field.
In this regard, Khaled Al Hammadi, First Vice President of the Dubai World Trade Center of the DXB Life said that this global event that we participated in organizing is one of the most important police events in the world, and we are confident that this success will continue in the upcoming sessions, which enhances the most place of Dubai and a destination for the establishment of the most important international events.
The summit included prominent side events such as “Pearls in Policing”, an academic symposium organized by New York University Abu Dhabi and witnessed the participation of major international organizations including Interpol, Europol, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Women had a prominent presence in various sessions and discussions, as women leaders emerged in strategic roles, and some sessions discussed the importance of empowering women in the security sector, while interactive workshops discussed ways to prepare and train a new generation of young officers to meet the challenges of the future.
