The President of «Emirates Airlines» urges aircraft manufacturers to take responsibility for the delay in supply

Yesterday, the President of Emirates Airlines, Sir Tim Clark, expressed his disappointment at the chronic problems associated with the aviation sector supplies, and urged aircraft companies to take responsibility for the delay in supply.

“I am tired of seeing anxiety about the supply chain.”.

Boeing and Airbus, which specializes in manufacturing aircraft, have delays that extend for months and years in the delivery of new aircraft, thwarting the airlines that want to update their fleet into more efficient fuel -consuming aircraft and launching new services.

Emirates Airlines requested the purchase of 205 Boeing 777 X, and has not yet obtained a statement from the US Federal Aviation Administration, while the delivery of the “777 X” aircraft is scheduled to start in 2026, that is, six years after the specified date.

Clark said at the “IATA” meeting, that he sees a “glimmer of hope” regarding the permit to obtain new aircraft, and that “Boeing” is cautious optimism about its recovery during high -level meetings with the company.

Sources told “Reuters”, last week, that “Airbus” warns airlines that they will wait another three years of delay in delivery, to work to solve the accumulated problems in the supply chain.

Clark stated that “Emirates Airlines” has not yet witnessed a shift in demand patterns as a result of the steps of US President Donald Trump recently, related to customs duties.
