The UAE displays an innovative initiative in the field of artificial intelligence during the “Cosbas meeting

The thirty-ninth meeting of the main committee of the “Cosbas-Sarat” organization, in the capital, Abu Dhabi, witnessed the presentation of a qualitative Emirati working paper from the National Guard Command represented by the National Center for Research and Rescue, reviewing an innovative national initiative in the field of artificial intelligence, which was completely developed with national efforts and competencies within the state.
The initiative, which was reviewed, is a strategic step that reflects the UAE’s commitment to support international efforts in the field of research and rescue, and this meeting is one of the most important international forums specialized in warning and response systems for emergency situations, as it attracted the participation of more than 45 countries and international organization, represented by senior experts and specialists in the areas of satellite communication, search and rescue, which confirms the advanced international status of the UAE in this vital sector.
The Emirati paper focused on an integrated smart system that was internally developed to analyze distress signals and operational data from emergency devices, through artificial intelligence technologies, with the aim of issuing immediate recommendations and reports that support the speed and efficiency of decision -making in the field.
This system is characterized by its ability to adapt to multiple scenarios, and to provide prediction analysis that contributes to reducing response time and saving lives in the most difficult circumstances.
“This initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to innovation and enhancing international cooperation in the field of research and rescue, as the use of artificial intelligence technologies in this context opens unprecedented horizons to reduce response time and improve the accuracy of coordination during emergency cases,” said Rashid Al Naqbi, Head of Operations Coordination and Co. Units.
“This initiative represents a pivotal step towards harnessing the advanced technologies to serve humanitarian work,” said Youssef Al Ali.
“What we presented today in front of member states embodies the vision of the UAE, which believes that innovation is no longer an option, but an urgent necessity to move forward in developing search and rescue systems,” said Saleh Al -Tunaiji, an expert in search and rescue.
Hamad Al-Badri, an expert in the Cosbas-Sarat, said that the employment of artificial intelligence techniques in this field represents a qualitative shift towards enhancing efficiency and supporting rapid response efforts in emergency humanitarian situations.
The Emirati paper won a wide acclaim from the participating international delegations, who expressed their admiration for the advanced technical level that the state has reached, and its ability to provide internationally applicable solutions, with strict adherence to the operational and technical standards of the international organization.
This achievement reflects the UAE’s commitment to its humanitarian and innovative role, and its continued consolidation of its global position as a leading center for developing response and rescue technologies, enhancing the security of societies and protecting lives around the world.
