A rise in the number of tourists coming from the Emirates to Moscow in 2024

The Russian capital, Moscow, recorded a remarkable increase in the number of tourists coming from the UAE, as they numbered 62,100 visitors in 2024 compared to 18,000 in 2019.
Yafgini Kozlov, head of the Tourism Committee in the city of Moscow, stressed that the city of Moscow includes a large number of restaurants that provide halal food, in addition to providing services in the Arabic language to provide a comfortable experience for Gulf visitors, reviewing the most prominent tourism offers available in Moscow, especially those dedicated to visitors from the Gulf countries.
He added that five tourist information centers were opened in the capital, distributed between the city center, river transportation stations, and the “Dream Island” games city, where the employees of these centers provide support in both Arabic and English, and a new tourist information information center was opened in cooperation with “Speer” bank that allows visitors to obtain a tourist card and banking services for tourists.
Kozlov pointed to the availability of electronic visas “E-VISA”, which facilitated entry procedures for citizens of many countries, which made Moscow’s visit easier and easier,
Stressing that Moscow offers a variety of cultural experiences, recreational events, artistic performances and high -end restaurants, as well as international festivals held throughout the year.
It is noteworthy that in the year 2024, a “Moscow friendly Muslim” guide was issued to travelers from the Middle East, which includes a set of recommendations on restaurants, hotels and seasonal activities, in addition to tourist attractions, parks and shopping centers.
On the other hand, Moscow is witnessing this summer a season of cultural events and festivals, and the “Moscow Palace” festival offers interactive programs in more than 40 historical sites in the city, while the street theaters festival embraces more than 600 shows with the participation of about 3,000 artists in 14 external sites over a period of 92 days.
The “Gardens and Flowers” festival also turns urban spaces into flowering natural paintings, and the “Street Dance” and “Street Art” project offers outdoor musical performances, as well as free workshops and exhibitions on Strastoin Street in central Moscow.
Moscow includes a wide range of historical and cultural monuments, most notably the Kremlin, the red square, and Alexander Park. Visitors can also explore the famous Bolshoi Theater, the visit of the “Moskino” cinematic city, which offers overwhelming tours in the world of cinematic production and the “Moscow City” region provides a modern experience through skyscrapers and one of the highest watch platforms in Europe.
Visitors can also visit 14 technical pavilions within the “Made in Moscow” initiative, which offers souvenirs and homemade products and the “Green Market” displays more than 700 brands of the best local brands.
Kozlov stressed that Moscow is among the most green cities in the world, as it includes more than 140 parks and natural reserves and collects projects such as the “Zaryadi” park and the “Gorky” park between environmental design and community participation.
Smart lighting technologies, waste management, and environmentally friendly transport contribute to supporting sustainability.
He also stressed that Moscow continues its commitment to providing a modern, comfortable tourist environment, welcoming all visitors from around the world.
