Prime Minister of Serbia: The Free Trade Agreement is a new page in relations with Egypt
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ouo Matsut, stressed that the free trade agreement between Egypt and Serbia represents a new page in relations between the two countries, as well as implementing its provisions to achieve the optimal exploitation of possible opportunities to increase trade exchange and push investments to support cooperation in various fields and increase competition opportunities and achieve economic growth in each country, to serve the benefit of the two countries and the two peoples. At the Egyptian -Serbian Business Forum, which was held today at the headquarters of the Council of Ministers in the new administrative capital, and at its beginning he expressed sincere thanks for the good reception and generosity of hospitality, which he touched by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, pointing to his happiness to speak in this forum after he became mutual efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries as real, thanks to the support of Presidents Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, and the Serbian Alexander Votic, In order to pave the opportunities to establish distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, and to achieve the interest of the two friendly peoples. and noted that the friendship between Egypt and Serbia is old and established, where the two countries who were the founders of the Non -Aligned Movement celebrate the 117th anniversary of the establishment of relations between them, as well President Sisi’s visit to Belgrade in 2022 resulted in the establishment of the strategic partnership between the two countries with mutual confidence and wide cooperation, and this partnership was confirmed during the visit of Serbian President Alexander Fotic to Cairo in July 2024, where the signing of the draft of the free trade agreement. Cooperation in the fields of economics and energy, in addition to other important sectors to enhance partnership and achieve common interests, so that Egypt and Serbia open the doors together for the passage of goods and investments, pointing out that although economic exchange between Egypt and Serbia has reached about 122 million dollars, there are capabilities to increase it more. Serbia has about 40 companies owned by Egyptians, as projects have started in the Egyptian market for joint industrialization between the two countries, indicating that the indicators reflect the fact that Serbia is a stable economy country safe for investments, thanks to the good geographical location and the concluded agreements and the support of the government and the skilled workforce, especially in the programming industry. Steps to establish the open Balkan initiative, to become the West Balkans countries a free group for transporting goods, expressing his aspiration in particular to the participation of Egypt at the Expo in Belgrade in 2027, and the participation of a large number of Egyptian investors to learn about the capabilities and opportunities for cooperation, to represent a platform to enhance trade and cooperation between the two countries And the two peoples.
