The Sharjah Special Education Authority, in cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is preparing a comprehensive evaluation of the work system for four days per week, and its impact on professional performance, personal welfare, life balance and quality of education.
The authority launched a questionnaire for workers in the educational institutions of the emirate, to determine the feedback from the field.
The questionnaire included major axes, which begin to collect data, such as the name of the institution, sex, social condition, age group, nationality, emirate, job title, number of daily and weekly classes, and the suitability of this teaching burden.
And I moved to the evaluation of the impact of the four -day system in learning outcomes by measuring its impact on students’ motivation, the percentage of their attendance, their participation in extra -curricular activities, their ability to self -learning, and their progress in the basic criteria of the curricula, and their commitment to duties and projects.
Participants were asked to assess the extent of the system providing opportunities to spend a qualitative time with the family, exercise, improve mental and social health, and balance work and life.
The operational efficiency at the two levels, institutional and individual, has also investigated by measuring the effectiveness of school leadership and preserving the quality of education, student’s productive motivation, and his ability to accomplish tasks and achieve professional goals.
The questionnaire raises questions about the effect of the additional holidays day, as it asked employees to clarify the extent of its use in completing the professional development programs, the practice of hobbies, volunteering, and enhancing general job satisfaction.
