The basketball team is playing “two friendly” in Bahrain in preparation for the Arab Championship

The coach of the national basketball teams, Dr. Munir bin Al -Habib, revealed the program for preparing the team for the Arab Championship, which will be held in Tunisia from July 25 to the second of August next, as Al -Abyad will enter an internal camp, late this month, before heading to Bahrain for two experiences, as well as participation in the “William Jones” championship in China from 12 to 20 of next month.

Bin Al -Habib told «Emirates Today»: “22 players were invited to start the internal camp, which starts on the 30th of this year in Dubai, and extends until the sixth of next July.”

He explained: «The internal camp includes 19 players from Al -Ahly, Al -Wasl, Al -Nasr, Sharjah and Al -Bataliya clubs, along with three additional players from the young elements within the development plan from Al -Wasl and Al -Nasr clubs, born in 2005 until 2008.”

He added: “Al -Ahly Youth Club was addressed to include the Senegalese player Asan Boy, who is in the resident category, to support the national team, and under the category of the foreign player to participate in the (William Jones) championship, which allows each team to have foreign players.”

He continued: “We look forward to during the two friendly matches in Bahrain, to restore the homogeneity, while we aim to participate in the (William Jones) championship to continue developing the technical level, enhancing the team’s readiness by contacting high technical levels, and identifying different gameplay patterns.”

The team’s list in its internal camp includes the end of this month, both Qais Omar, Omar Al -Amiri, the two brothers Ahmed, Hamid Abdullatif, Issan Boy, Rashid Ayman, Muhammad Saleh, Abdul Aziz Khalifa, Hassan Abdullah, Mamadou Nadia, Hamad Ashour, Faisal Ahmed, Muhammad Asad, Khaled Khalifa, Mahmoud Wasim, Demarko Decreson, Rashid Nasser, Jassim Muhammad (Born in 2005), Salem Khalifa and Abdul Rahman Al -Suwaidi (born in 2008).
