The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has completed the initiative “Air Quality Monitoring and Emissions from the source”, which is one of the main pillars of the National Transformation Program aimed at strengthening Environmental oversight and raising the quality of life in the Kingdom in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
Advanced network includes 150 fixed and mobile monitoring stations to monitor air quality in all regions and cities of the Kingdom. To monitor Air pollutants the ocean at the level of the cities of the Kingdom, increasing its comprehensiveness to cover all regions and cities of the Kingdom, and completing the air quality database surrounding the regions and cities to issue daily reports and warnings about the state of air quality. Monitoring violations and activating procedures and mitigating and corrective measures, and contributing to preparing a national emergency plan to deal with critical air pollution cases in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
