Health control adopts 32 medical facilities with comprehensive health insurance

The General Authority for Accreditation and Health Supervision, headed by Dr. Ahmed Taha, announced the issuance of the decisions of the Supreme Committee for Accreditation, which included granting full and initial accreditation to (32) health facilities, after a comprehensive evaluation of health services provided in it, and according to the national standards issued by the authority and internationally accredited by the Organization & RDKUO; Decisions, the Oncology Institute Hospital at the University of Menoufia succeeded in obtaining initial accreditation, reflecting the university’s commitment to achieving the highest levels of quality in providing specialized and safe medical services for oncology patients, and serves a wide segment of citizens in Menoufia Governorate and the governorates of the high population density. Integration between the various components of the health system and supports the effective expansion of the comprehensive health insurance project, and these facilities include:

The World Health Organization estimates, Egypt needs about 10,600 primary care units to ensure comprehensive health coverage at a unit rate per 10 thousand citizens, which imposes the necessity of establishing and redistributing at least 5,300 additional units, with a focus on rural areas and Upper Egypt governorates to achieve a fair distribution. Development of primary care units, in response to the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, and under the direct supervision of Dr. Amr Qandil, Deputy Minister of Preventive Medicine, and Dr. Rasha Khadr, Head of the Basic Welfare Sector at the Ministry, to rehabilitate these units and raise their efficiency in line with the criteria approved by the authority. For accreditation and health control it puts its top priorities to spread the culture of quality, and is committed to providing technical support and continuous training for health facilities wishing to obtain accreditation, in order to enhance its ability to provide safe and effective services in accordance with internationally recognized national standards.
