Mohammed bin Rashid recalls Rashid bin Saeed in a chapter of his new book, “Life taught me”: “May God have mercy on my father”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the State, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God preserve him, published excerpts from the ninth chapter of his new book, “Life Teach Me”, which is scheduled to be issued in the coming months.
The chapter was entitled “May God have mercy on my father”, as His Highness allocated it to recall the exploits of his late father, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, pointing to the deep impact he left in his personality and his leadership approach.
His Highness said in a post on the “X” platform: “Whenever you think about the sophistication and wisdom of my father … I realized how much I learned from him and how I was affected by his personality.”
His Highness talked about the values in which his father planted, such as the simplicity of living, restraint, dignity, listening, tolerance, and love of justice and honesty, stressing that these principles were the basis for his vision of leadership and life.
He also pointed out that the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum was very angry, discreet, fixed, not deceived by appearances or compliments, and he was a lover of science and scholars, keen on the conversation of the people of opinion, and the owner of a distant vision and deliberate decisions.
The chapter reviews humanitarian details from the life of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, including his love for merchants, his respect for the people of the market, his proximity to his friends without mixing personal relationships with positions, in addition to his asceticism, humility, and interest in people from different segments of society.
His Highness concluded the chapter by praying for his father: “May God have mercy on my father.”
