The UAE leads the closing day competitions for the UAE National Championship for the Jujitsu Professionals

Abu Dhabi, June 22/ WAM/ Today, the activities of the Emirates National Championship for Jujitsu, organized by the Abu Dhabi Association for the Jojitsu Professionals (AJP) in cooperation with the Emirates Jujitsu Federation, and lasted for three days at the “Mubadala Arena” hall in Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi, amid record participation of 1455 players and players from 77 countries, representing more than 86 specialized academies.

The last day’s competitions witnessed high technical levels, in the amateur and professional categories, and the final battles reflected the great development witnessed by the sport of Jujitsu and its spread at the global level.

The results resulted in the UAE leading the overall ranking of the tournament with 299,700 points, followed by Brazil in second place with 98,000 points, then Colombia in third place with 68,100 points.

The competitions were attended by the winners, His Excellency Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the Emirates Jujitsu Federation, and Tariq Omar Al -Bahri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Association for the Jujitsu Professionals.

The tournament, since its inception, reflects the institutional work efforts of the Emirates Federation of Jujitsu and the Abu Dhabi Association for the Jujitsu Professionals (AJP), by organizing international championships according to the highest professional standards, and providing an integrated competitive environment that contributes to refining the skills of players, and gives them opportunities to improve their classification within the association’s global rankings system.

In this context, Tariq Omar Al -Bahri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Association for the Jujitsu Professionals, said that the Emirates National Championship is a major station within the association’s agenda, because of its important role in developing a strong technical base and promoting competitiveness locally and internationally.

He expressed his thanks to the Emirates Federation for Jujitsu, headed by His Excellency Abdel Moneim Al Hashemi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations, First Vice President of the International Federation, explaining that the tournament witnessed high levels in terms of organization and demand for participation and public interest, which reflects the position of Abu Dhabi as a global center for Jujitsu sport.

He expressed the aspiration to the first round of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam for Jujitsu, which will be held next week in Istanbul, to form a strong start for the new season.

For their part, a number of heroes crowned with gold medals expressed their pride in achieving victory in this prestigious championship, praising the efforts of the association in organizing competitions at this level.

The hero Sultan Jabr, the owner of the brown belt gold for 69 kg of professionals, said that winning this tournament has a special nature, due to its technical value and its organization in Abu Dhabi, the global capital of Jujitsu .. We feel that we have a real opportunity for development and friction with the best players.
The hero Obaid Al -Ketbi, who has a golden weight of 62 kg in the weight of 62 kg for professionals, indicated that the tournament constituted an exceptional experience, and added that the battalions were strong, and full of technical lessons and that these tournaments are what we need to go ahead in the path of professionalism.
The championship witnessed a distinguished participation throughout its three days in the junior, children, professors, amateurs and professionals of both sexes, which gave her a comprehensive character, which strengthened her position as one of the main stations in the competitive season of jujitsu sport.
The Jujitsu family is preparing to start the first rounds of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam for Jujitsu for the 2024-2025 season, which will be held in Istanbul during the first week of July, with the wide participation of the elite international players.
