763.8 billion dirhams UAE banks investment at the end of March

The investments of banks operating in the UAE recorded steady growth during the past months, reaching about 763.8 billion dirhams at the end of March 2025.
According to banking indicators issued by the Emirates Central Bank today, bank investments achieved annual growth by 14.9%, and an increase of 3.9%since the beginning of the year, and a monthly increase recorded about 1%.
Bank investments were distributed between several tools, issued by securities, which represent debts over 343.2 billion dirhams, while bank investments in the bonds reserved to the due date amounted to about 345.3 billion dirhams, while bank investments in stocks amounted to 18.7 billion dirhams, while other investments recorded about 56.6 billion dirhams.
Parallel to the growth of investments, total bank credit increased to 2.24 trillion dirhams, with an annual growth rate of 9.4%, while local credit reached 1.868 trillion dirhams.
Private sector loans amounted to 1.377 trillion dirhams, and individuals 505.9 billion dirhams.
The total banking deposits of banks in the country recorded about 2.936 trillion dirhams, at 2.687 trillion resident deposits and 248.6 billion dirhams of non -resident deposits.
Meanwhile, bank indicators for the distribution of banks according to the site between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and the other Emirates showed an increase in the total assets of banks operating in Abu Dhabi since last December 4.1% to reach about 2.26 trillion dirhams at the end of March 2025, and by 2.8% in Dubai to reach about 2.08 trillion dirhams, while banks in the “other Emirates” recorded a growth of 4.3% to reach 381.7 billion AED.
With regard to total credit, bank credit operating in Abu Dhabi exceeded 1.05 trillion dirhams with a growth of 2.6%since the end of last year, in Dubai 988.5 billion dirhams, an increase of 2.6%, and in the other UAE 197.9 billion dirhams with a growth of 3.9%.
Banking deposits have risen to reach about 1.33 trillion dirhams, in Dubai to 1.36 trillion dirhams, and in the other Emirates to 247 billion dirhams.
