The World Council for Tolerance and Peace condemns the bombing of the St. Elias Church in Syria

Abu Dhabi, June 23 / WAM / The World Council for Tolerance and Peace, headed by His Excellency Ahmed bin Muhammad Al -Jarwan, expressed its strong condemnation of the sinful terrorist bombing that targeted the Mar Elias Church in Syria, and led to the death of 25 innocent victims of innocent worshipers and the injury of 63 others.
His Excellency Al -Jarwan stressed that targeting the role of worship and holy sites is a cowardly act that contradicts all human and religious values, and aims to destabilize societies and spread division and hatred between their components.
The Council extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the luxury of Syrian President Ahmed Al -Shara and the families of the victims, to the Syrian people with all its spectrums and components, and to the respected Christian community in Syria and the world, stressing the solidarity of the full council with them in this great affliction, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
The Council renewed its call to enhance the values of tolerance, coexistence, respect for sanctities, joint work to reject violence and extremism, and spread a culture of peace in all societies.
