The head of the state and the Iranian president discussed, during a phone call, developments in the region

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, received today a phone call from the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Bouchakian, during which His Highness affirmed the UAE’s welcome to the announcement of the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel, expressing his hope that the agreement will constitute a basis for the promotion of stability, security and peace in the Middle East.

His Highness stressed the importance of providing the reasons for the success of the agreement for the good of all countries of the region and its peoples … and renewed His Highness the UAE’s fixed position towards supporting everything that is in the path of regional peace and security.

For his part, the Iranian President expressed his thanks to His Highness the President of the State for the position of the UAE and its solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the Israeli military targeting of its lands.
