Al -Ahly youth tops the list of discipline fines in the Professional League

Al-Ahly Youth Club, winner of the ADNOC Professional League title, topped the list of the highest clubs in the disciplinary fines during the last season 2024-2025, where its fines reached 215 thousand dirhams, and Al-Wasl Club finished second with 120 thousand dirhams, followed by Sharjah third with 75 thousand dirhams, then victory fourth with 70 thousand dirhams, and the total financial fines in the league reached 595 thousand dirhams.
It is noteworthy that the total financial fines, during the 2023-2024 season, according to a statistic based on the official website of the Football Association, amounted to 649 thousand dirhams, while in the 2022-2023 season it reached about 605 thousand dirhams.
Five clubs, out of 14 participants in the Professional League, did not register any financial fines, namely Al Ain, Etihad Kalba, Khor Fakkan, Dibba Al -Hosn and Arabism.
In detail, the fines of Al -Ahly Youth Club reached 215 thousand dirhams, most of them because of the public, distributed as follows: 70 thousand dirhams due to the uttering of its fans on the fans of the opposing team, and the liquid packages on the fans and the land of the stadium, and 50 thousand dirhams to pronounce the fans on the referee of the match, and 30 thousand dirhams for his fans to commit acts that depart from the sporting spirit, and 10 thousand dirhams to repeat the ruling. While Al -Wasl Club fines amounted to 120 thousand dirhams due to the public, they were fined 80 thousand dirhams due to the ignition of a smoky packaging, the pronouncement of the fans of the opposing team, the liquid packages on the stadium, as well as 40 thousand dirhams due to mass acts that depart from the sporting spirit.
While Sharjah club fines amounted to 75 thousand dirhams, 30 thousand for the players obtaining six cards in one match, and 10 thousand dirhams to ignite smoke packages and throw fluid packages on the field, and 35 thousand dirhams for the players to get seven cards in one match.
The financial fines of Al -Nasr Club amounted to 70 thousand dirhams, which were the fine of the team manager, Ali Abbas, 20 thousand dirhams to pronounce the referee of the match and abuse him through the media, and the team’s administrator Hamid Abbas was also fined 20 thousand dirhams to pronounce the referee of the match, as well as the coach of the team, Sheroder, 20 thousand dirhams to pronounce the referee of the match, and the club was also fined 10 thousand dirhams for the fans Liquids towards the second assistant referee and players of the opposing team.
The fine of Bani Yas Club reached 50 thousand dirhams, of which 30 thousand dirhams on the team player, Suhail Al -Nubi, to pronounce the referee of the match, and 20 thousand dirhams a fine against the team coach, Daniel Isila, to pronounce the referee of the match.
Al -Jazira club fines reached 30 thousand dirhams for its players to obtain six cards in one match, while Al -Wahda club fines amounted to 20 thousand dirhams, because its fans uttered the referee of the match.
On the level of Al -Battah Club, the club player Saeed Jumaa was fined 10 thousand dirhams, due to “insulting media statements made,” according to the Disciplinary Committee, and for the Ajman Club, the club player, Junior Flangz, was fined 5,000 dirhams to raise his shirt and publish his pictures.
Urgent: Psychological pressure behind fines
The former international referee, Abdullah Al -Aji, said that the clubs that were competing for the positions of the foreground until the last rounds were the most vulnerable to fines, while the clubs in the middle of the table or the rear were less exposed to them.
Al -Urgent added to «Emirates Today»: “Psychological pressure on players, administrative bodies and fans contributed to the high pace of penalties, especially between the teams that competed until the last round.”
He pointed out that «the events that accompanied the summit match in the 23rd round of the league, between the youth of Al -Ahly and Al -Wasl, contributed to raising the value of fines, after the discipline committee issued penalties for the two clubs and fans.
