The Ministry of Interior participates in a session on addressing children’s exploitation crimes online

Abu Dhabi, June 27 / WAM / The Ministry of Interior participated in the session “round table on confronting the patterns created in the crimes of sexual exploitation for children via the Internet”, which was held in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the participation and presence of experts and specialists from the relevant regional and international bodies.

During the session, the Ministry presented a working paper delivered by Brigadier Dr. Hamad Al -Zaabi from the General Administration of the Federal Criminal Police, in which he reviewed the leading Emirati experience in combating these crimes, highlighting the proactive security efforts adopted by the state within an integrated digital system.

He stressed that the UAE focuses on coordination and cooperation with strategic partners at the local and global levels to address harmful and prohibited content via the Internet, in order to enhance digital protection and ensure a safe virtual space for all, especially children.

He referred to community initiatives and educational programs implemented by the ministry, and aims to raise awareness among families and enable them to protect their children from various forms and means of electronic exploitation.

This participation comes as an affirmation of the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to its strategic responsibility to enhance the security of societies, and to unify international efforts to address these dangerous phenomena, in a way that contributes to building a safer digital environment for all members of society.
