A delegation from "Union trains" He discusses with the Kuwaiti Minister of Works to cooperate in railway projects
Kuwait on June 29 / WAM / A delegation from Al -Ittihad train headed by His Excellency Shadi Malik, CEO of the company, met with His Excellency Dr. Noura Al -Mashaan, Minister of Public Works in the State of Kuwait, in the context of enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging experiences in the field of infrastructure for the railway between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
During the meeting, Minister Al -Mishaan stressed the keenness of the State of Kuwait to take advantage of the leading experiences in the field of railways, especially the distinguished experience of the partnership between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman in the establishment of the “Hafeet Track” company, which represents a successful model for Gulf integration in transport and infrastructure projects.
She pointed out that cooperation in this vital sector embodies Kuwait’s commitment to support the paths of Gulf integration, and to enhance economic and geographical ties between the GCC countries, stressing the importance of continuous coordination between technical teams to ensure the implementation of qualitative projects that meet the needs of development in the region.
For his part, Eid Al -Rashidi, Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Works, stressed that the ministry attaches great importance to exchanging experiences and benefiting from successful Gulf experiences, noting that early cooperation in the planning and implementation stages contributes to building a sustainable railway network that enhances regional connection and supports joint development goals.
The meeting witnessed a review of a technical offer that dealt with future plans for railway projects in the State of Kuwait, where the Minister of Mishayan presented the Ministry’s vision to establish a sustainable national network for railways, based on the best regional and international practices, and take into account the environmental and economic dimensions, in line with the aspirations of the state to achieve sustainable development.
