Extensive investigations with the former first lady in South Korea

About three months after leaving the presidential palace after a resounding scandal, the former first lady of South Korea, Kim Keun Hee, became, at the heart of extensive investigations, led by hundreds of lawyers, amid accusations related to corruption and abuse of power.
Meanwhile, her husband, former President Yun Suk Yol, is being tried for rebellion, after his dismissal from his post because of his failed attempt to impose martial law in December last year, and is investigating Kim, special prosecutors who were appointed by the current president, Lee Jay Meong.
It is expected that the legal teams will start their investigations soon in 16 claims against Kim, which include charges of manipulating the stock markets, interfering in the elections candidacy, as well as receiving luxury gifts illegally, including a handbag from Chanel’s luxury brand.
Kim, 52, has sparked widespread controversy in the Korean circles, as they are compared to famous characters, such as Mary Antoinette, and Michael Jackson, whether for her great ambition or plastic surgery that she underwent. Despite her positive impact on her husband’s general image, her political interventions and explicit expression of her views often harmed his position.
It is believed that Kim faces popular aversion not only because of the accusations, but also because she represents the image of rich, independent and explicit women, which is not always consistent with the traditional values of the conservative Korean society, and Kim runs the company «Kovana Contines» to organize cultural events and exhibitions, and its personal assets value is about 28 million dollars, according to data dating back 2018.
The Kim academic career became a question of skepticism, as Sogkyung women canceled its degree in the Master, after the Ethics Committee revealed a widespread thesis in its thesis submitted in 1999, while the University of Kokain is considering withdrawing the doctorate degree in 2008, accused of obtaining it by non -fair means.
The topic of her thesis was about “the fortune tellers”, which strengthened the suspicions about being affected by the myths, especially after circulating pictures in which mysterious writings appear at the hands of her husband during an electoral debate, as well as allegations of his use of a processor with “Chinese acupuncture”.
