"Abu Dhabi Arabic Language" The participation in the initiative is extended "100 stories from our society" Until August 31
Abu Dhabi, July 4/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center announced the extension of the period of participation in the initiative of “100 stories from our society” until August 31, in light of the great demand that it witnessed and in an effort to expand its societal impact, and to provide an opportunity for a greater number of members of society to contribute to enriching the art of the story, through creative works inspired by the reality of Emirati society.
The center had launched the initiative during the 34th session of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025, in line with the announcement of the year 2025 “The Year of Society”, and in the framework of its strategic vision to promote creative content, and encourage community members to express their ideas and feelings through writing in both Arabic and English.
Through this initiative, the center seeks to celebrate the Emirati society through literature, enhance the cultural scene with stories that support societal privacy, and make way for talented people of various nationalities to show their creativity in writing, develop their skills, and contribute to the perpetuation of the knowledge society.
The initiative targets creative agents from the age of 18 and above, with the story ranging between 1000 and 1500 words.
Participants are presented to a specialized and independent jury that reads and evaluates work according to the standards of quality, excellence and innovation, to choose the best 100 stories to publish them within a literary version that documents these experiences, while ensuring the full preservation of intellectual property rights to the authors.
The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, through this initiative, seeks to highlight cultural wealth and societal diversity in the UAE, contribute to strengthening the literary scene, developing creative writing skills, and devoting a culture of knowledge among different segments of society.
