It was announced that the student, Aisha Nizar Nazim, was announced from the seventh grade at the Zaha Hadid School for Excellences, affiliated to the Nineveh region, during the closing ceremony of the ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge witnessed by the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Nasmis al -Jabouri, Minister of Education, Dr. Adnan Al -Sarraj, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Education, and Muhammad Daie Al -Azzawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Committee, The Acting Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Baghdad, the participation of Dr. Fawzan Al -Khaldi, Director of Programs and Initiatives at the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” Foundation, and a number of officials and educators based on the Arab Reading Challenge initiative, and a large crowd of parents of the participating students.
The closing ceremony also witnessed the announcement of the victory of the student, Maria Hassan Ajil, from the fifth grade in the Al -Farraa School for Girls, affiliated to the Salah al -Din area, in the first place in the category of people of determination, among the 450 male and female students who participated in the qualifiers.
The list of the top ten from which the jury committees chose the student Aisha Nizar Nazim, a hero to challenge the Arab reading in its ninth session at the level of the Republic of Iraq, each of: Montazer Ahmed Mardan from the fifth grade in the Al -Insaf School of the Karbala region, and Akram Khalil Abdullah from the tenth grade in a middle school (Kirkuk), and Fatima Muhammad Abdul -Amir from the eleventh grade in the school (Najaf), Yusr Hamza Farhan from the eleventh grade in the great high school of Al -Nabaa (Al -Qadisiyah), Rawan Montazer Mansour from the tenth grade in the Haifa Preparatory School for Girls (Babylon), Hadi Hassan Hadi from the eleventh grade in the Nahrawan School for Boys (Al -Rusafa 3), and Aya Ziyad Subhi from the eleventh grade in the Al -Rafidain School (Kirkuk), Hussein Ali Ahmed from the tenth grade in the school (Kirkuk), and Haider Ali Abdel Aziz from the seventh grade at the Gifted School (Najaf).
The ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative achieved a record participation of 32 million and 231 thousand students from 50 countries representing 132112 schools, and under the supervision of 16,1004 supervisors and supervisors.
His Excellency Prof. Ibrahim Nammas Al -Jubouri, Minister of Education in the Republic of Iraq, appreciated the vital role that the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” Foundation plays in enabling new Arab generations to obtain knowledge, science and skills necessary for the future industry, pointing to the successive successes achieved by the Arab Reading Challenge initiative in this context, and its concrete impact in spreading the culture of reading and developing the capabilities of Arab students.
He said: We are proud of this new participation in the Arab Reading Challenge initiative, and 133920 students have proven through their interaction with this cognitive competition and their presentation of distinguished levels, the development of the educational and cultural scene in Iraq, and the effectiveness of the plans that the Ministry of Education sets to advance the level of students and enhance the position of the Arabic language, in line with our ancient civilized heritage and the creations of the children of Iraq in various fields, in a way that enhances our confidence in more tomorrow Shining to our country and our Arab nation.
Dr. Ibrahim Al -Jubouri congratulated the student Aisha Nizar Nazim, and all the winners, winners and students participating in the competitions and their families, as well as to schools and educational cadres in the regions of Iraq, thanks to the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives”, and for everyone who contributed to the success of the ninth session qualifiers.
Dr. Fawzan Al -Khalidi stressed that the initiative of the Arab reading challenge continues to perform its message to spread the culture of knowledge, provide ways for emerging Arab generations to enhance their capabilities and refine their talents, and to enhance their association with the language of Al -Dad, giving them the visions and tools necessary to resume Arab civilization and the effective contribution to the development of Arab societies.
The Director of Programs and Initiatives at the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” Foundation praised the wide Iraqi participation in the qualifiers for the ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge, and said: We look with a great appreciation of the participation of more than a million and 300 thousand students in the ninth session, reflecting the great efforts made by the Ministry of Education in the sisterly Republic of Iraq, and those concerned with cultural affairs and Iraqi society to motivate students to read, and these efforts have represented An important contribution to the achievement achieved by the ninth session, in which its qualifiers participated in more than 32.2 million students from 50 countries around the world.
Dr. Fawzan Al -Khalidi congratulated the family of the work of the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” and the Arab Reading challenged the heroes of the ninth session in Iraq, and all the participants in the competitions, and also thanked the Iraqi Ministry of Education, and for everyone who helped students compete in the ninth session qualifiers.

The Arab Reading Challenge, which was launched in the 2015-2016 academic year under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God bless him”, aims to produce a comprehensive reading and knowledge movement, consolidate the culture of reading in the Arabic language is a language capable of keeping pace with all forms of literature, science and knowledge, and encouraging emerging generations to use them in their daily dealings, developing mechanisms of absorption and expression of self Sound Arabic, and developing creative thinking skills.
