Dubai, July 5 / WAM / The General Command of Dubai Police, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, has strengthened its efforts in spreading awareness among sports fans and school students through the “Your commitment to happiness” initiative, which succeeded during the ADNOC League last professional league season in delivering their awareness messages to 282 thousand and 299 beneficiaries, compared to 188 thousand and 909 beneficiaries in the 2023 season.

The initiative aims to raise the level of awareness of the sports public’s obligations in the stadiums, in accordance with the provisions of Federal Law No. 8 of 2014 regarding the security of sports facilities and events, by implementing field visits to stadiums and schools, as well as interactive activities via social media.

The initiative recorded 80 awareness visits during the last season, compared to 69 visits in the previous year, while the number of digital views and interactions associated with the initiative on various social media platforms reached 27 million in 2024, compared to 26 million and 250 thousand in 2023.

Lieutenant Nabat Sultan Al -Ketbi, coordinator of the “Your commitment to happiness” initiative, stressed that the initiative seeks to consolidate the culture of positive encouragement, enhance communication between the masses and sports institutions, and the transfer of awareness messages that urge constructive criticism and highlight civilized behavior in the stands.

He explained that the articles of the federal law ensure the provision of the highest levels of safety in sports events, in line with international security standards, noting that the initiative seeks to enable the public to realize the limits of encouragement and control behavior in a way that reflects the image of the civilized state.
