“Cairo Film” participates in a week "Belt and road" Binghai
Within its ongoing efforts to support cinematic cooperation with various countries of the world, the Cairo International Film Festival participated in the activities of the & quot; Belt and Road Week & quot;, which was held in the Chinese city of Shanghai during the period from 18 to 21 June 2025, within the activities of the twenty -seventh session of the Shanghai International Film Festival. The seventh in a row, as part of the membership of the Cairo Festival within the alliance of festivals & quot, the belt and the road & quot;, launched by the Shanghai Festival in 2018, and today includes more than 55 institutions and a cinematic festival from 48 countries, including Egypt, China, Portugal, Chile, Colombia, Indonesia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Mongolia.

The meetings that we held with the management of the Shanghai Festival resulted in practical steps to enhance cooperation, whether by bringing Chinese films and special performances to the Cairo Festival, or working to facilitate the entry of Arab films to Asian markets, especially China, which represents a promising and open market in front of Arab cinema. A group of specialized forums and sessions that dealt with ways to develop the cinematic industry, exchange experiences, and enhance cultural integration between the coalition countries.
