Learn to the mechanism for recovering tuitions when the student is transferred

The Ministry of Education clarified the mechanism for recovering tuition fees in the event that the student withdraws or moves from one private school to another for any reason, confirming the commitment of all private schools that are under their supervision in (Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah) to apply the approved fiscal policy items to protect the rights of parents, and organize the contractual relationship between the two parties.

Duration

The Ministry has set the details of the collection of tuition fees based on the student’s duration in the school according to three tracks, the first simulates the study fees, where if the student leaves the school after two weeks or less than the start of the study, the school has the right to obtain study fees equivalent to one month.

Three months fees

She stated that if the student always lasts for more than two weeks and less than a month, the school has the right to obtain two full -month fees, and in the event of the student for more than a month, the validity school is to obtain a three -month fee, regardless of the timing of the withdrawal during the semester.

The Ministry confirmed that the one -month fee is calculated from the total annual tuition fees divided over ten months, which is the unified standard approved by all private schools in the country.

Books and transportation fees

As for the second track, it focuses on books and transportation fees, as its fees are not recovered under any circumstance, due to their consumption immediately after receipt, and the same policy of recovery of tuition fees is applied to school transport fees, so that the remaining part is recovered according to the number of months due.

School obligations

As for the third track, it addresses the school’s obligations, as the departments should inform the guardian in writing these items when registration for the first time, and in the event that the school is granted a partial or completely deduction on tuition fees, it must be attached to an official notice that explains the nature of the opponent and the mechanism of its application in the event of withdrawal, and the school may not collect fees for a semester in which the student has never studied.

Promote transparency

The ministry emphasized that these mechanisms aim to achieve justice and transparency in the relationship between schools and parents, and to prevent any disciplined financial practices, and called on parents to read the school contracts carefully, and not to hesitate to communicate with educational control teams in the event of any violations.
