The Minister of Health discusses enhancing cooperation with initiatives, digital transformation, pharmaceutical and vaccine industry
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received Dr. Hanan Belki, Regional Director of the Eastern Mediterranean Region at the World Health Organization, and the accompanying delegation, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the new administrative capital, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation and issues of health interest between the two sides. He praised the relations of fruitful and constructive cooperation between the organization and the Ministry of Health, and expressing its aspiration to continue and enhance the bonds of cooperation, thanking the organization for its continuous support for programs and initiatives aimed at promoting public health in Egypt. He discussed cooperation mechanisms to find a scientific approach that contributes to reducing road accident rates. Its review as a pioneering model that can be used at the global level. Dr. Hanan Belki in Egypt’s pioneering role in supporting humanitarian issues, appreciating the efforts of the Egyptian state to receive the injured of brothers from Palestine and Sudan and provide the necessary health care for them, and thanked the Minister of Health for the efforts made by the ministry to ensure the provision of the best health services in this framework. Among Dr. Abla Al -Alfi, Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Amr Qandil, Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health for Public Health Initiatives, Dr. Radi Hammad, Head of the Preventive Medicine Sector, Dr. Suzanne Al -Zanati, Director of the General Department of External Health Relations, while the World Health Organization was attended by Dr. Naama Abed, representative of the World Health Organization in Egypt, and Dr. Sadana Bahwat, a first specialist in public health, and Dr. Randa Abu Al -Naja, technical official for noncommunicable diseases and mental health, Dr. Jasser Jad Al -Karim, a technical official in health systems, Dr. Omar Abu Al -Ala, emergency technical official, Dr. Ahmed Khalifa, a health expert.
