Dubai Municipality and Burken Company expect a memorandum of understanding to raise the operational efficiency of public situations

Dubai, July 9 / WAM / The Dubai Municipality and the Barka SEA, the largest provider of public parking facilities and services established in Dubai, signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation areas to develop the public positions services of the municipality in the emirate and raise its operational efficiency and prepare the ideal organizational, legislative and technical environment to improve the quality of service provided to society.
His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, Ahmed Hashem Bahwouzian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Barkan Company, attended the signature ceremony of the memo between Badr Anouhi, Executive Director of the Public Utilities Foundation in Dubai Municipality, and Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Barkan Company.
The memorandum identified aspects of cooperation between the two parties, including the preparation of the standards of regulating lands designated such as positions and facilitation of issuing permits and organizational approvals for operational and experimental initiatives as well as providing planning data and geographical information related to positions in addition to enhancing the exchange of experiences to prepare the standards of regulating private lands as attitudes in order to advance the level of service quality, support strategic plans and manage free parking lots Dubai Municipality by the company.
The memorandum also provides for exploring investment opportunities to establish and operate multi -storey buildings and parking and discuss the feasibility of operating the existing positions currently and affiliated with the municipality and future cooperation opportunities to manage the activities of the events by providing traffic regulation services description of vehicles and providing observers and field supervisors and providing automatic payment solutions for vehicles at the entrances and exits of facilities.
Badr Anouhi, Executive Director of the Public Utilities Corporation in Dubai Municipality, said that this memorandum comes within the framework of the efforts of the Dubai Municipality to develop an integrated infrastructure for its public positions in the emirate, in line with Dubai’s aspirations towards an intelligent and sustainable future. Through this cooperation, we aim to facilitate operational procedures and enhance the quality of services provided to visitors to the Dubai Municipality facilities in addition to supporting the strategic goals of the emirate in the areas of sustainability and comprehensive urban planning that contributes to enhancing the quality of life in various aspects.
For his part, Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Barkan, said that this cooperation with the Dubai Municipality represents the commitment of the Burken Company to support the emirate’s goals towards a more intelligent and sustainable future and to benefit from our extensive experiences in managing and operating public positions and in integration with the strategic vision of the municipality.
