The national football coach, former international goalkeeper Moataz Abdullah, said that the former Al Ain coach, Portuguese Leonardo Jardim, was the one who discovered the rising Al Ain striker Mohamed Awadallah, similar to his discovery of the French international star, Killian Mbappe, when he was previously coaching the French club Monaco, specifically during his first period with the club in 2014.

Mbappe played his first match with the first team in Monaco on September 2, 2015 against Caen in the French League, and the match ended at the time in a 1-1 draw, as he replaced in the second half of the player Fabio Quintrao, and he was 16 years old.

It is noteworthy that Mohamed Awadallah was recently loaned from Al Ain Club to Lechia Ghadangsk Club, which plays in the Polish Premier League, for one season on loan.

Moataz Abdullah added to «Emirates Today»: “Although Mohamed Awadallah has played a small number of matches with his club Al -Ain, he showed an advanced technical level, which made the former coach Jardim depend on him among the basic elements.”

He explained: «Muhammad Awad Allah is characterized by physical strength, as it is good at playing in three centers, namely: the explicit spearhead, or on the parties, or behind the attackers. It has been established from a young age in football academies in the country, who is a young player, and belongs to a spherical family.

Jardim, nicknamed “Stars and Talents”, is a discoverer of a large number of football celebrities in the world, most notably Killian Mbappe, who summoned him from the Monaco Club Academy to the ranks of the first team, where the player’s talent began to appear. Note that Jardim took over the French club in two periods: the first from 2014 to 2018, and the second in 2018.

Jardim Mohamed Awadallah gave the opportunity to participate essentially with Al Ain, which gave him great confidence and his technical capabilities, as he joined him in the front line in four matches in the UAE league, along with the trio: Sufyan Rahimi, Laba Kudju, and Yakandro Romero.

According to the official website of the Professional Association, Mohamed Awadallah participated with Al Ain in the last season 2024-2025 in 13 games in the ADNOC Professional League, including five games within the starting lineup, and the minutes of play that played 444 minutes, during which he scored five goals, and made one goal.

As for the matches in which Muhammad Awadallah was found essential during the period of the leadership of Jardim for the Al-Ainawi team, they are: Al-Ain match against Al-Ahly youth, which ended with the loss of Al Ain with a clean goal in the seventh round, and Al Ain match against Al-Oruba in the eighth round, which ended with the victory of Al Ain 4-2, during which he scored the third goal, and Al Ain match against Sharjah in the 11th round, which ended in a negative tie, and the Al Ain match against Ajman in the 12th round, which ended With the loss of the eye 4-2.

He also participated in the era of former coach Vladimir Evic in one match, which was in front of Al-Battah in the 15th round, and ended with Al Ain winning 2-1.

Moataz Abdullah considered that Muhammad Awadallah had a distinguished experience with the Khorfakkan team in the 2023-2024 season, when he joined him on loan, before returning to his club Al-Ain again last season.
