Extensive international participation program for Paralympic Games during 2025
Dubai, July 16 / WAM / The Paralympic National Committee announced an extensive external participation program for Emirates athletes in the coming months until the end of 2025, which included participation in 5 world championships in different games, as part of its strategic plan to enhance international representation and achieve more achievements that enshrine the state’s position on the map of Paralympic Sports.
The Tayban Al -Muhairi, the Secretary -General of the Committee, stressed that the Emirates basketball team on the wheelchairs (3 x 3) is preparing to participate in the World Championship hosted by South Africa next month, after he performed a distinguished performance during its participation in the Asian and Oceania Championship that was held in the Chinese city of Hangzhou last month, during which he succeeded in occupying fifth place.
He explained that the technical committee put an integrated program to prepare players and raise their technical and physical readiness, ensuring an honorable manner in the upcoming forums.
He added that the participants agenda includes many major international benefits, foremost of which is the World Athletics Championships in India, the World Shooting Championships in the Czech Republic, as well as the global sports capabilities in Indonesia, the World Power Lifts Championship in Cairo, and the World Shooting Cup in Al Ain, to Dubai’s hosting of the Paralympic Asian Games for Youth in next December, indicating that this momentum reflects the size The aspirations that the committee seeks to achieve in the context of supporting and developing the sport of people of determination in the country.
