Urgent The Prime Minister is following the executive plan for the northern western coast water desalination plants
Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly emphasized that the government is following the extent of progress in the desalination file; In order to enhance the expansion in this field, which represents one of the most important axes of sustainable development, noting that the state is working to take advantage of the capabilities of the private sector in this important field, especially relying on the latest technologies that enhance the efficiency of desalination plants. To follow up the executive plan for the northern western coast desalination plants, in the presence of Eng. Sherif El -Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Major General Assem Shukr, Vice President of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sewerage, Eng. . During the meeting, the position of the northwestern coast desalination plants, noting the executive plan for the desalination plants to be established until 2050, as well as the urgent desalination plants required to meet the needs until 2030.
& nbsp; For the existing stations, as well as the targeted energy in the period (2025-2035) and then the period (2035-2050), through expansions in those stations, or the creation of new stations, noting such to the position of the availability of lands in this regard.
& nbsp; Stations are: Bagosh desalination plant, an East Matrouh desalination plant, the second stage of the new Alamein City desalination plant, the Al -Alamein desalination plant is a first stage, and the desalination plant is a first stage, indicating that the current energy of these stations is 279 thousand cubic meters per day, and targeted to reach it to 660 thousand cubic meters per day in 2030 through expansions in those stations.
