Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women Sports launches a series of sports festivals

Abu Dhabi, July 22/ WAM/ Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women Sports announced the launch of a new series of school sport festivals in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, at the level of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which will continue until next November, to enable emerging women’s talents.

The initiative focuses on basketball and volleyball, and it targets students in the age group between 13 and 17 years, with the aim of discovering talents and qualifying future champions for competitions at the local and international levels.

The festivals include six events that contribute to providing an ideal platform for discovering the distinguished players, including the exceptions of them to the official teams of the academy, in addition to hosting 70 students from five different schools.

The Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports emphasized that this initiative embodies its firm commitment to enhancing the presence of women in the sports sector, by supporting promising national talents, expanding areas of cooperation with the Ministry of Education and educational institutions in the country, consolidating the culture of sports among girls, encouraging them to participate actively, and engaging in activities that enhance the spirit of the team and personal excellence.

She pointed out that the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy League for Basketball Schools, achieved great success recently, and presented the participants a distinguished competitive experience, with the participation of 10 teams from various schools and academies, and resulted in the crowning of the young women team in the academy in the title.
