China begins production from the main oil field in the Bohai Sea

BEIJING, on July 22 / WAM / The Chinese Oil Giant (China National Oil Corporation “) announced today, the start of production in the new oil field in the Bohai Sea, which represents an important step in China’s energy excavation operations off its coast. The Kinley field is 2-10 in the southern waters of the Bohai Sea, which is the largest rock oil field that is discovered in the waters of China, as it contains confirmed reserves in excess of 100 million tons.
The first stage of the development of the field includes digging 79 wells, with a maximum production capacity of 3000 tons per day of equivalent oil and gas. There is also a second stage for the development of the field.
The field is at a depth of about 20 meters below the sea, but it faced technological challenges due to the complex composition of the heavy oil in it, according to the new China News Agency (Xinhua).
To overcome these obstacles, “Knok” has created an advanced system for reserve development technology, specially designed to extract heavy oil.
Kay Hui, an expert in “Knok”, said this system allows for accurate maps of the underground reserve structures, and allows our right to high heat steam to enhance oil extraction.
For his part, Yan Hongto, Vice President of the company, said that the launch of the first phase of the Kenley 2-10 oil fields group represents a new era in the development of complex marine heavy crude reserves in China, considering this a basic step towards achieving the goal of “Knook” by producing 40 million tons annually from the Boyhai oil fields this year.
