"Recycling" The first version of the event is launched "Eco Ren"
Abu Dhabi, July 23 / WAM / The first edition recycling group launched the “Ecorun” event, a sustainable sporting experience organized by the group for the first time, coinciding with the month of July of plastic.
On Sunday, July 27, the Yas Mall Commercial Center will host the effectiveness of the event, as the participants will witness an internal race free from the use of monochrome plastic, in a move aimed at raising awareness of the importance of reducing plastic pollution and enhancing positive environmental behaviors.
“Eco Ren” is the first running event supportive to prevent the use of monochrome plastic organized by a recycling group, and focuses on the involvement of society in a more sustainable future, as the event was designed to inspire individuals of all ages to take practical steps in the face of plastic pollution, as part of an enjoyable and comprehensive sporting experience.
Abdel Wahid Jumaa, Executive Director of Communication and Awareness Department in a recycling group, said that preserving a clean and healthy environment is a key axis, noting that the Eco Ren event highlights the importance of adopting sustainable practices in daily life, especially in the field of limiting the use of plastics during the month of July, with an invitation to everyone from all age groups to participate and join a community movement aimed at eliminating the use of plastic to contribute to building A more sustainable future for future generations.
The event begins at 6:00 am from the race village in Yas Mall, and allows the participants to choose the appropriate distances according to their physical abilities, and the enemies will receive a sustainable shirt made of recycled materials such as plastic bearing the slogan of the event, in addition to an environmentally friendly paper that contains seeds used in the transplantation of a home plant, as well as medals for all participants.
The winners of the first three places in each age group will also be honored with special medals in appreciation of their efforts in this environmental initiative.
